AARON J. COFFEYWAYNESBORO, VA...Aaron James Coffey, 28, of Waynesboro, died Sunday, December 13, 2015.He was born July 26, 1987, in Waynesboro, a son of Kimberly Clark Layman and the late James Clinton Coffey.Aaron was a former employee of Blue Ridge Beverage.He was proudly serving in the U.S. Army Reserve and was an expert marksman. He was an avid hunter, camper, fisherman, and outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Laughter was an integral part of his life.In addition to his mother, family members include a son, Jake James Coffey; his step-father, William Dewey Layman; brothers, Brandon Tyler Layman, William Derek Layman, Coleman Coffey, Caleb Coffey, Tucker Coffey, and Shane Coffey; a sister, Savana Faith Layman; step-sisters, Janelle Cash and Jordan Brooks; maternal grandparents, Gary and Carolyn McLaughlin and Jim and Vicky Clark of Florida; paternal grandparents, Roger and Mary Truslow and Viola and Buddy Varner of Staunton; great grandmother, Margie Mason Clark; uncles and aunts, Christopher and Angie Clark, Troy and Kelly Fitzgerald, J.R. Clark and Racheel of Middleburg, FL, Timmy and Tina Coffey, Allen and Wendy Coffey, Shelby Layman-Smith, Jeffrey Layman, and Ronnie Truslow; a special uncle, Dukie Roberts; special cousins, Jessica Godfrey, Aaron Fitzgerald, Austin Sanchez, Wyatt Clark, Cody Clark, Alesha Layman, Jacob Smith, Mason Dull, Tammy Blevins and Michael, LaToya Clements, Derick Coffey, Daniel Coffey, Brittany Truslow, Dylan Truslow, Kelsey Truslow, Autumn Coffey, Sam Dockery, Brian Dockery, A.J. Dockery, and Jamell Roberts; and special friends, Rob Burgener,  Christopher Wood, Richard Long, Gary Miotke, Michael "Mikey" Garnett, and Gary Brubaker.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, C. Eugene and Lillie Bingler, Charles V. and Edna McLaughlin, and Richard Myers Clark; a great uncle, Timothy Bingler; and uncle, George Elwood Layman; and his grandfather, George Russell Layman.A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2015, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel.
