AGNES A. COFFEY  STAUNTON, VA… Agnes Pearl (Allen) Coffey, 95, widow of Vaden MacDonald Coffey, of Staunton, died Monday, May 15, 2017 in Fishersville. She was born August 8, 1921, in Montebello, a daughter of the late Luther Gorman and Maddie Edna (Hatter) Allen. Prior to retirement, she owned and operated Esquire Men’s Shop with her husband for 26 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Harold Edward and Andrea Coffey of Wisconsin; a daughter, Patricia Coffey Childs of Staunton; a brother, George Henry Allen of Stuarts Draft; five grandchildren, Robert Brown “Trey” Childs III, Jason Patrick Aaron Childs, Wyndemere Elizabeth Coffey, Heath Edward Coffey, and William Pugh; five great grandchildren, Ellianna May Coffey, Colton Thomas Pugh, Kaitlyn Alexis Pugh, Thomas Aaron Childs, and Flynn Sullivan-Coffey. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Gorman, James, and Buddy and three sisters, Hazel, Irene, and Gertrude. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Shenandoah, c/o Augusta Health Foundation, P.O. Box 1000, Fishersville, VA 22939. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
