ANDREW W. BOWER SWOOPE, VA Andrew "Andy" Wayne Bower, 43, of 64 Leverock Lane, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at his residence. He was born November 2, 1967, in Staunton a son of Junior F. and Roberta (Obst) Bower. Mr. Bower was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was employed as a construction worker. In addition to his parents, family members include his companion of eight years, Debbie E. Calderon of Staunton; a brother and sister-in-law, Brian K. and Rebecca Bower of Palm Coast, FL; maternal grandmother, Daisy Obst of Staunton; paternal grandmother, Vernell Bower of Staunton; three uncles; an aunt; a nephew, Kodi A. Bower; a niece, Madison L. Bower, both at home; special cousin, Kane and his wife, Crystal Obst; numerous fishing friends and buds; and his dog, Brooke. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2011, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. John Sullivan. The family will receive friends following the service. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Salem VA Hospital, Oncology Department and to the Hospice of the Piedmont.
