Anna Ruth Berry

Anna Ruth (Barnette) Berry, 83, widow of Walter C. Berry, Jr., of 29 Mint Spring Circle, died Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at her residence.             She was born September 26, 1935, in Camden-on-Gauley, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Clarence and Frankie (Nowlin) Barnette.             Mrs. Berry was employed for 10 years as an interpreter at the Frontier Culture Museum.             She was a dearly loved and long-time active member of Mint Spring United Methodist Church.             In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Sue Henry.             Family members include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna Berry of Mint Spring, Linda and Tom Blaine of Staunton, and Shirley and John Matherly of Mint Spring; three grandchildren, Tyler and Jack Matherly and Tara McDaniel and Clayton, all of Mint Spring; nieces, Anne and Beth Henry of Buena Vista; and numerous great nieces and nephews; and also a large extended family in Augusta County, Tennessee, and West Virginia.             A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2018, in Mint Spring United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ryan Oswald. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery.             Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Earhart, Kevin Jarvis, Scott Glenn, Bobby Glenn, Nick Ramsey, and John Swink.             The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018, in the Henry Funeral Home.             The family would like to thank Dr. Lynn Moore and staff and special friend and caregiver, Jessica Miller.             In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mint Spring United Methodist Church, P.O.
