Anna Katherine Nuckols

ANNA K. NUCKOLS STAUNTON, VA Anna Katherine (Miller) Nuckols, 89, widow of Phil Bryant Nuckols, of 50 Evans Lane, died Monday, September 16, 2013, at her residence. She was born May 28, 1924, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Harry M. and Ophelia (Arehart) Miller. Prior to retirement, she worked for ASR. She was a member of Mint Spring United Methodist Church and the VFW Post #2216 Ladies Auxiliary. Family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ray B. and Nancye Nuckols of Vesuvius and Bruce and Beth Nuckols of Chesterfield County; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Maurice Smith of Staunton; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Phil M. Nuckols; and two brothers, Murray M. Miller and Edward L. Miller. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Mint Spring United Methodist Church by the Rev. Terry Clark. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Cary Arehart, Doug Cox, Glenn Shickel, Stephen Shickel, Sonny Miller, Charlie Barnes, and Roger Patterson. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2013, in the Henry Funeral Home.
