ANNA S. RACCA STAUNTON, VA… Anna Lynn (Simpson) Racca, 96, widow of Manuel Racca, of Staunton, died Friday, December 8, 2017 at The Legacy at North Augusta. She was born June 22, 1921, in Franklin, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Edward Clyde, Sr. and Lula Cordelia (Propst) Simpson. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas R. and Marianne Racca of Gainesville, VA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ella S. and LeRoy Makely of Harrisonburg and Jaunita S. and Charles Rexrode, Sr. of Staunton; two daughters-in-law, Wanda Showalter of Staunton and Vickie Racca of Bridgewater; a son-in-law, Glenn Hilbert of Hanover, MD; 19 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and 23 great, great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, James Manuel Racca and William E. Showalter; two daughters, Marion Frances Racca and Roxanna Hilbert; and two brothers, Edward Clyde Simpson, Jr. and Charles Henry Simpson. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. John C. Peterson. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin, WV. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2017 in the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service.
