ANTHA M. ROBERTSON STAUNTON, VA… Antha Gretchen (Miller) Robertson, 96, widow of Richard E. Robertson, of Staunton, died Thursday, August 16, 2018, in Shenandoah Hospice House, Fishersville. She was born February 7, 1922, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Samuel Hileman and Mary Margaret (Potter) Miller. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Robertson was employed by American Safety Razor with 22 years of service, before retiring in 1984. She was a member of Loch Willow Presbyterian Church in Churchville. She was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 13, she served as treasurer of the Churchville Women’s Club, and sang with the Ever Young Singers. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Russell E. and Helen Robertson; three brothers, Frank, Samuel, and Lyle Miller; three sisters, Virginia Miller Whitesell, Hettie Miller, and Myrtle Miller; and a granddaughter, Emily Kate Robertson. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard M. and Kay Robertson of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, R. Jeffrey Robertson, Tiffany R. Shifflett, Russell V. Robertson, Richard F. Robertson, and William E. Robertson; twelve great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2018, at Loch Willow Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Reed Hopkins. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be her four grandsons, Chris Shifflett and Donnie Lawhorne.The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Loch Willow Presbyterian Church, Building Fund, 37 Buffalo Gap Highway, Churchville, VA 24421.
