Anthony Miles Shipp

ANTHONY M. SHIPP   STAUNTON, VA…  Anthony Miles Shipp, 65, widower of Jane (Clarke) Shipp, of Staunton, died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Augusta Health. He was born October 4, 1951 in Harrisonburg, a son of the late Everette Lee Shipp and Geraldine Francis (Biller) Shipp. Mr. Shipp was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Prior to retirement, Mr. Shipp was employed by Cargill. Anthony was an avid golfer, enjoyed camping, swimming, and fishing, and he loved his wife. He held Bible studies in his home with other Jehovah’s Witnesses. Family members include three children, Jennifer (Harvey) Schmidt and husband, David, Kelly Shipp Royston, and Josh Shipp; a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Brenda Shipp; friends at Rocky Branch Campground and Lake Anna; co-workers at Cargill in Mt. Crawford; and his dogs, Bella and Feisty.  A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Richard Henkel.
