Archie Clarence Hevener, Jr.

ARCHIE C. HEVENER, JR. VERONA, VA... Archie Clarence "Doc" Hevener, Jr., widower of Betty Lou (Morris) Hevener, of Verona, died Thursday, January 2, 2014, in Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center, Fishersville. He was born April 23, 1927, in Garrett County, Maryland a son of the late Archie Clarence, Sr., and Myrtle (Mongold) Hevener. Prior to retirement, Mr. Hevener was a truck driver for Huger-Davidson. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Sandy Hevener of Mt. Sidney; a daughter, Brenda Via; three grandchildren, Kelly Smootz and husband, Stacey, Jessica Jones and husband, James, and Kaitlyn Hevener; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Audrey Jenkins. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 in Shenandoah Baptist Church Cemetery, Verona by the Rev. Tim Thomas. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
