ALEXANDER KAMINSKI STAUNTON, VA…Alexander Kaminski, 93, husband of Mary (Rugiel) Kaminski of 1030 Stingy Hollow Road, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at his residence.He was born February 26, 1923 in Plock, Poland, a son of the late Waclaw and Aleksandra (Woznicka) Kaminski. Prior to retirement, Mr. Kaminski was employed by Sandvyk. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He was a simple and hard working man. He took pride in his work, baking and as a factory grinder. He was a devout Catholic. In addition to his wife, family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Raymond Chambers; his twin sisters, Marysia and Basia of Poland; four grandchildren, Erik and Avis Chambers, Amanda and Ryan Herndon, Christopher Chambers, and Melissa and Victoria Vaughan; five great grandchildren, Emily, Randall and Wesley Herndon, Cain Chambers, and Aaron Chambers; and a number of nieces and nephews in Poland and France. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ludwik Kaminski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2016, in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church by Father Joseph Wamala. Entombment will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Erik Chambers, Christopher Chambers, Ryan Herndon, Michael Wood, Todd Jarvis, and Jake Leonard.
