Audrey "Peggy" Spitler
Audrey May “Peggy” Spitler, 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her residence.
Ms. Spitler was born on May 20, 1939 in Augusta County to the late Joe E. and Maggie L. Lawson.
Ms. Spitler is survived by two sons, Donald Spitler and Steve (Melissa) Spitler; a daughter, Margaret Sprouse; many siblings; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Salvation Army Church of Staunton by Lt. Johnathan Meredith and Kelsey and Major Sam Hearne. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the Salvation Army Church following the burial.
Active pallbearers will be Chandler Snyder, Jason Tovar, Jr., Gabriel Tovar, Troy Tovar, Juliana Tovar and Jennifer Sprouse.
Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army of Staunton, 1700 West Beverley Street, Staunton, VA, 24401.
