Barbara Lou Botkin

BARBARA B. BOTKIN MT. SIDNEY, VA Barbara Lou (Bell) Botkin, 72, wife of Jerry Botkin, of 30 Overlook Avenue, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born May 21, 1941, in Staunton, a daughter of the late Morgan Howard and Ruth (Staton) Bell. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Botkin was employed as a nurse's aide by Western State Hospital. She was an avid reader and enjoyed time with her friends. In addition to her husband, family members include two sons, Marvin "Tony" Fauber of Grottoes and Robyn Michael Fauber and wife, Silvana I. Fauber, of Weyers Cave; two step-sons, Kenneth Wayne Botkin of Staunton and Dwight Botkin of Bridgewater; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Dennis Claytor of Stuarts Draft, Ladonna and Barry Stroble of Mt. Crawford, and Wanda and Nevin Andes of Harrisonburg; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Gladys Bell of Verona; a sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Gary Weaver of Staunton; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; her dog, Holly and cat, Moo; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Van W. Bell, Sr. Services will be private at the family's request. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
