BARBARA W. BRINGMAN STAUNTON, VA Barbara Jane "Babbie" (Weller) Bringman, 64, of 206 Kings Square, died Sunday, December 29, 2013, at her residence. She was born September 3, 1949, in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late Alexander Taylor, Jr. and Barbara (Rosebush) Weller. She was a 1967 graduate of Buffalo Gap High School and a 1971 graduate of Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina where she earned a Master's degree in Education. After a year teaching in Spartanburg, she returned to Staunton where she taught in the Staunton City School system for 40 years. The majority of her time with Staunton City Schools was spent at Robert E. Lee High School where she taught United States History and Government and was the Senior Class Sponsor. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, David Stuart Weller and Alexander Taylor Weller, III. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Judson Burns and Kathryn Bringman; a daughter and son-in-law, Jane Taylor and Casey Bryant; a brother and sister-in-law, John Scott and Kimberley Weller; two grandchildren, Alexander Weller Bringman and Spencer McNaughton Bringman; a niece, Elizabeth Weller and spouse Keary Bonner; two nephews, John Reid Weller, and Alexander Scott Weller and a great nephews, Carson Thomas Bonner. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014, in Trinity Episcopal Church by the Reverend Dr. Paul Nancarrow. Burial will be private in Thornrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church. The family requests that instead of flowers, memorial gifts be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, P.O.
