BARBARA RILEY BRYANT   STAUNTON,VABarbara Ann (Riley) Bryant, 74, left on the wings of Angels, Sunday June 17, 2018. She was born July 26, 1943 in Deerfield to the late Marvin (Mack) and Carrie (Cale) Riley. Barbara worked at Wright’s Dairy Rite and was manager of Riverside Pizza and a number of other restaurants. In 1983 she went into business for herself, starting Bryant’s Painting and Cleaning. In 1984 her husband, James, joined her in the business. She also worked for Kendall Bennett Auctions. Barbara attended Calvary Baptist Church. She loved to yard sale with her husband and going to auctions to work. Barbara is survived by her husband of 50 years (not enough time); four precious children that she was blessed with, Darrell Carter (Bonnie), Tracy Carter (Donna), Tammy Shinaberry (Rickie); two loving sisters, Connie Johnson (Harry) and Bonnie Graham (Timmy); two proud brothers, Franklin Riley and Billy Riley (Marg); and a step-daughter, Lisa Allman (Homer); seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and special friends to help care for me, Linda, Faye, Marg, Dale, Sharon, Dr. David Herring, and all the love and prayers of the people. Waiting for me is my daughter, Delores; my grandson, Clint Carter; Mom & Dad; a sister, Rose Burgandine; brothers, Louis Riley, Stanley Riley, and Marvin Riley (Buck). A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Brandon Carter and Merle Dodson. Burial will follow in Rocky Spring Cemetery in Deerfield. Active pallbearers will be Rickie Shinaberry, Tracy Carter, Darrell Carter, Dale Burgandine, Louis Riley, Randy Riley, and Robbie Riley. Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends attending the service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in the funeral home.
