Barbara Jane Harris

BARBARA J. HARRIS STAUNTON, VA Barbara "Bobbie" Jane (Myers) Harris, 60, wife of James C. Harris, of 42 Dynamite Road, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014, at her residence. She was born October 8, 1953, in Washington, DC, a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Martha Elizabeth (Ramsey) Myers. She was a loving and caring person who made all feel welcome into her home and family. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, bejeweled, and mahjong. She was very active in all of her grandchildren's lives. In addition to her husband, family members include three daughters, Rebecca Smith, Deborah Harris, and Christine Wymer; four sister, Brenda Myers, Teresa Jones, Tina Peterson, and Elizabeth Lawhorn; a brother, Jerry Myers; and five grandchildren, Harry Smith, Jr. and fiancé, Shellie, Jeremy Smith and wife, Courtney, Dakota Harris and girlfriend, Rosie, R.J. Wymer, and Emily Smith. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014, in Greenville United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. William Strickler. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, in the Henry Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
