Beatrice Lucille (Ruark) Pritchett STAUNTON, VA…    Beatrice Lucille (Ruark) Pritchett, 86, died on November 4, 2016 at Augusta Health.   She was born in Cambridge, Maryland on October 6, 1930, to the late Fred Layton Ruark and Lossie Estelle (Jones) Ruark.  She married Robbie Sutton Pritchett on December 28, 1946.   She and her husband owned Pritchett’s Uniform Shop in the Staunton Plaza and LuSu Fashions in Stuarts Draft.  She worked at Montgomery Ward for 23 years in the fashion and drapery departments.  She was a former member of Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church, Bethany Presbyterian Church, and the Welcome Wagon of Staunton.        She was a devoted wife, and a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She had a keen sense of style. She appreciated loyal friendships and current events.  She proved throughout her life to be both persistent and tenacious.      She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, her brother, Frederick Ruark, and her sisters Madaline Pritchett and Audrey Ruark.   She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel & Betty Pritchett of Staunton and her daughter and son-in-law, Sharlene & Rob Wade of Waynesboro; four grandsons: Eric Pritchett of Staunton, Aaron & Emily (Forrest) Pritchett of Newport News, and Bryan and Tyler Battaglia of Waynesboro; three great-grandsons: Matthew, Robbie and Benjamin Pritchett of Newport News; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Rufus & Charlotte Pritchett of Cambridge, Maryland, O’Neal & Lois Pritchett of Milton, Delaware, Melvin & Peggy Pritchett of Toddville, Maryland; and Lucille & Jack Rigby of Blades, Delaware;  a cousin Alene McGlaughlin of Toddville, Maryland, and a number of nieces and nephews.   A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday,  November 7, 2016, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Merle Dodson and Danny Pritchett. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery Mausoleums.    Active pallbearers are Darrell Carter, Ron Cash, Dennis Hrusecky, Charles Lyle, Raymond “Buster” Shaner, and Allen Spaid.   A special thank you to Dr. Chris Heck; Dr. Jaime Escanellas; and the compassionate staff of the Augusta Health Wound Healing Clinic and Drs. Caulkins and Ranzini.   Her family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2016, in the funeral home.    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Foundation for Transplants 350 Poplar Avenue #430, Memphis, TN  38119 and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society 760 Lynnhaven Parkway, Suite 201, Virginia Beach, VA  23452.
