Belinda Sue Mcwhorter

BELINDA M. MCWHORTER CHURCHVILLE, VA Belinda Sue (Moran) McWhorter, 63, wife of Doyce McWhorter of 823 Hangers Mill Road, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at her residence after losing her battle with cancer. She was born February 25, 1951, in Staunton, a daughter of the late Franklin Moran and Catherine (Coffey) Powers. Mrs. McWhorter was a director and teacher at Christian Village Preschool. She was a member of Glossbrenner United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, family members include two daughters and sons-in-law, Ladena and Paul Dodson and Stefanie M. and Hunter Bartley; a sister, Dixie Lee Hall; and three grandchildren, Devan Bartley, Brady Dodson, and Zachary Dodson. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2014, in Glossbrenner United Methodist Church by the Rev. Adam L. Blagg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Village Preschool, 17 Buffalo Gap Highway, P.O. Box 1016, Churchville, VA 24421. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
