Berenice H. Kennedy

Staunton, VA…   Berenice (Hulvey) Kennedy, 92, widow of Warren M. Kennedy, died Friday, February 24, 2017. She was born on April 24, 1924 in Fishersville, a daughter of the late Dwight and Edna Hulvey. Mrs. Kennedy was a homemaker and former member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Warren M. Kennedy, Jr. of Waynesboro and Robert V. Kennedy and his wife, Joanne, of Huntsville, AL; a daughter, Rebecca Thibodeaux of Mint Spring; two grandchildren, Catherine Kennedy and Lindy K. Thibodeaux and her husband, Olen Owens, Jr.; and two step grandchildren, Brian Shelton and Jeffrey Shelton. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Miller and her fiancé and best friend of 20 years, Ollie Hicks of Louisa. At Mrs. Kennedy’s request, there will be no services. The family extends a special thanks to Hospice of the Shenandoah and her caregiver, Glenna Jones. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Habitat for Humanity, P.O.
