BESSIE B. KIMBERLING WAYNESBORO, VA Bessie Golda (Bright) Kimberling, 102, widow of Roy Brown Kimberling, of Summit Square, Waynesboro, went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in Waynesboro. She was born on November 10, 1909 in Arbovale, WV, a daughter of the late Sherman Lee and Lena Sarah (Brown) Bright. Ms. Kimberling was a 52-year resident of Middletown, New York before returning to Virginia. She retired from Middletown Psychiatric Center where she was a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Retired Public Employees Association of New York and a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church in Verona. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers, Homer, Paul, Arthur, Richard and Stanley Bright; and four sisters, Hester Berry, Virginia Griffin, Pauline Meeks and Joanna Sheets. Family members include a brother, Lester Bright of Deerfield; four sisters, Annie Curd, Lena Cook and Ethel Neff all of Fishersville, and Mary Butler of Staunton; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Merle Fisher. Interment will follow in Deerfield Community Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Doug Bright, Tommy Berry, Sam Cook, Scott Cook, David Cook, and Tom Wilfong. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Monday, October 1, 1012 in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shenandoah Baptist Church, 170 Lee Highway, Verona, VA 24482 or Summit Square Fellowship Fund, 501 Oak Avenue, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
