BETTY C. PALLAVICINI  STAUNTON, VA… Betty Jo (Courtney) Pallavicini, 75, of Staunton, died Monday, May 22, 2017 in King’s Daughters’ Community Health and Rehab Center. She was born June 8, 1941, in Staunton, a daughter of the late Joseph Russell and Clara Elizabeth (Southard) Courtney. After she graduated from high school, she furthered her education by completing the Elizabeth Brandt School of Business. Although a homemaker for most of her life, she was employed part time by Mary Baldwin College, B & B Educational Supply and Bears and Blankets of Staunton. She was a member of Waynesboro Church of the Brethren. She was first and foremost a devoted daughter and mother. She was an avid collector of antiques and loved to decorate her home. She enjoyed spending time with friends and relatives decorating each other’s homes and sharing ideas. She enjoyed doing needlepoint and was “crafty”. For several years she hand painted Christmas ornaments for our tree. She had a special love for animals and children. She had great love for Lytsa, Calla, and Lillee. She loved to sing and dance and she will always be remembered for her love of “Coca Cola”. Mother had an exuberant and enthusiastic personality. She lit up the room when she walked in. She touched many lives throughout her life and made many special friends along the way. Some of her special friends include, Wendy, Bridgette, Nikki, Teresa, Sue, Beth, Penelope, Ann, Andrea, Brittany, Autumn, Kat, Lessie, Sallie, Irene, and Becky and many others too numerous to name.   Family members include a daughter, Molly Pallavicini of Staunton and special cousins, Nancy Botkin and family and Celia Wade and family. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Todd Crowder. Burial will be private in Thornrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Special thanks to the staff at King’s Daughters’ Community Health and Rehab Center and Hospice of the Shenandoah for their love and kindness.
