STAUNTON, VA… Betty Snyder Loyd, 75, widow of Harold “Bud” Loyd of Staunton, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at her residence. She was born January 10, 1942 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Samuel D. and Bessie Mae (Morris) Snyder. Betty loved cooking, gardening, but mostly loved her family. She was the most selfless, caring person you would ever meet. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Snyder. She is survived by three sons, Mark Loyd (Patricia), David Loyd and Kenny Robertson (Tomika); a daughter, Amanda Kinkead (Richard); a brother, David Snyder (Patsy); a sister, JoAnn McLain; eight grandchildren, Siobhan (Will), Megan, Kourtney, Kavon, Zane, Peyton, Sophie and Aslan; and ten great grandchildren,Dyllon, Alaysia, Ollie, Jayzlynn, Vincent, King, Korbyn, Aubree, Carson and Valerie. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Henry Funeral Home Chapel with burial immediately following at Oaklawn Mausoleums & Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Richard Kinkead, Don Nelson, Zane Roberts, Kavon Robertson, Dyllon Ward, Michael Agnor, Scott Roberts and Will Bodkin. Family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Henry Funeral Home.
