Betty Jane Stephenson

BETTY G. STEPHENSON WAYNESBORO, VA… Betty Jane (Glover) Stephenson, 84, widow of Clyde Bell Stephenson, of 513 Edwardian Lane, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center, Fishersville. She was born October 11, 1932, in Bethesda, Maryland, a daughter of the late Charles Lynn and Mary Lee (Miller) Glover. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. She was a member of A.A.R.P. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son,  Clyde Bell Stephenson, Jr.Family members include a daughter, Judy L. Stephenson; three grandchildren; a great grandchild; and a close friend, Walter Robertson. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, in St. John’s United Church of Christ Cemetery by the Rev. Dennis Russell. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911 or to the Waynesboro Fire and Rescue Squad, 201 West Broad Street, Waynesboro, VA 22980.  Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
