Beverly Ann Kirby Carroll

Staunton, VA…  Beverly Ann Kirby Carroll, 77, of Staunton, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2017.  She was born February 5, 1940 in Staunton, VA, a daughter of the late Arthur and Virginia Kirby. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by sister, Shirley Simmons; brother, Nelson Eugene Rexrode; and daughter, Kim Eugenia Back Downs. Survivors include daughter, Laurie Carroll Sage Harris; son, Dennis Michael Back; brother, Arthur Reese (Sandy) Kirby; some grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She worked a number of years caring for the elderly in private duty and nursing home care before she became ill. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017 in the Mausoleum at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Staunton, VA by Rev. Bobbie Knoezer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beverly’s memory to the Emily Couric Cancer Center, P. O. Box 400331, Charlottesville, VA 22904. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
