BILLY J. MARTIN STAUNTON, VA Billy "Bill" Jo Martin, 78, husband of Judith W. Martin, of 312 Thomas Street, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in Augusta Health, Fishersville. He was born June 16, 1936, in Narrows, a son of the late James "Bo" and Myrtle M. (Shrader) Martin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Prior to retirement, Mr. Martin was an insurance agent. In addition to his wife, family members include a son, William "Billy" (Liz) Martin; three daughters, Mary Beth (John) Mimms, Laura (Chris) Martin-Riha, Susan Miller and Brian Miller; two brothers, his twin brother, Jimmy Bo Martin, and Thomas "Tom" Eugene Martin; a sister, Anna Sue Presley; six grandchildren, Leslie, Brianna, Haley, Will, Tate, and Madeline; and a great granddaughter, Parker. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel "Dan" Martin and Clifford "Kip" Martin. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Celebration on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
