BLAIR S. ARGENBRIGHT STAUNTON, VA Blair Stuart Argenbright, 85, husband of Anna (Keller) Argenbright, of 1213 Stoneburner Street, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at Augusta Health, Fishersville. He was born February 19, 1926 in Augusta County, a son of the late Lee Nelson and Mattie (Lindamood) Argenbright. Mr. Argenbright was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Staunton Steam Laundry with 39 years of service. He was a member of the Staunton Fire Department for 26 years, the Augusta Masonic Lodge #111 for 50 years, the Richmond Scottish Rite, Happy Birthday USA Committee for 25 years, the Museum of American Frontier Culture for 10 years, Staunton Transportation Commission for 20 years, and was an Augusta Health Auxiliary volunteer. He was a member of Linden Heights Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, family members include a son, Gary W. Argenbright of Verona; two step grandchildren, Dean Harlow and Jessica H. Brown; and seven step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl S. Argenbright and Leo N. Argenbright; and three sisters, Laura Simmons, Madeline Campbell, and Nina Harvey. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Wade Munford. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jim Burris, Bill Campbell, Jack Earhart, Junior Conner, Roger Eagle,John Thompson,Aubrey Jackson, and Jim Taylor. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Linden Heights Baptist Church, Building Fund, 371 Linden Drive, Staunton, VA 24401.
