BOBBY L. MCCRAY STAUNTON, VA. Bobby Lee McCray, 84, widower of Betty Jane (Campbell) McCray, of 780 Parkersburg Turnpike, died September 21, 2015 in Augusta Health, Fishersville. He was born January 10, 1931, in Moffett Creek, a son of the late David Henry and Lottie May (Reed) McCray. Mr. McCray was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed by Augusta County Farm Bureau with 19 years of service and retired from Hays Chevrolet in 1992 with 25 years of service. He was a member of the Augusta County Fire Department. Family members include a daughter, Priscilla McCray of Staunton; two brothers, Harry R. McCray of Staunton and David H. McCray, III of Augusta County; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel McCray Hutchens. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015, in Augusta Memorial Park by the Rev. Russell Heinrich. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Simmons, Elburne Simmons, David Campbell, and Danny Campbell. Memorials may be made to Staunton Augusta Rescue Squad, 1601 North Augusta Street, Staunton, VA 24401 or to the Swoope Volunteer Fire Department, 697 Parkersburg Turnpike, Staunton, VA 24401. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
