Burma Jewel (Crist) Puckett, 69, wife of Jerry Puckett, of 27 Breezy Pine Lane, died Monday, January 11, 2016 at her residence. She was born June 4, 1946, in West Virginia, a daughter of the late Earl Eugene, Sr., and Janice (Seacrist) Crist. She was a member of Greenville Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society. In addition to her husband of 50 years, family members include two sons, Jeff Puckett and wife, Bonnie, of Spottswood and Wayne Puckett of Harrisonburg; a daughter, Felicia Karicofe and husband, Heath, of Churchville; seven grandchildren, Jessica Denoncourt, Marlena Daughdrill, Rachael Craun, Lauren Morris, Allie Puckett, and Morgan and Miranda Karicofe; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Earl E. Crist, Jr. and wife, Cris, of Niceville, FL; a sister, Brenda Snawder of Maryville, TN; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in Greenville Baptist Church by the Rev. Jamie McClanahan. Burial will follow in Old Providence ARP Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the Deacons of Greenville Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Home and other times at the residence. There will be no public viewing.
