Betty Sislica (Helmick) Earhart, 91, widow of Richard A. Earhart, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at her home.

She was born on March 7, 1931, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Hariam S. and Nina (Strickler) Helmick.

Mrs. Earhart retired from Western State Hospital after 20 years as a hospital aide. She was a member of Greenville Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Gary R. Earhart and stillborn David Earhart.

Family members include two sons, Mark Earhart (Cathi) of Staunton and Steve Earhart of Verona; a daughter, Brenda Tankesley (Joe) of Raphine; a sister, Ella Jordan of Staunton; fifteen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor David Ball. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Mausoleum & Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Isaac and Gabe Fairchilds, Rusty and Andrew Earhart, Christian Moore, and Grace Grogan
