Brenda Lynn Huffman

Brenda Lynn (Gordon) Huffman, wife of John Lee Huffman, passed away January 20, 2021 at UVA.

She was born on July 15, 1957, a daughter to the late William C. Gordon and Mildred Seay.

Prior to retirement, she was employed at Augusta Health for 28 years in Nutrition Services.

Mrs. Huffman was a member of Stuarts Draft Full Gospel Church. She loved Jesus Christ as her Savior and she was a devoted follower of his. She enjoyed studying her Bible daily and was devoted to prayer.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children; Rebecca Lynn Huffman of Waynesboro; Shannon Marie Bartley, of Waynesboro; Helen “Christy” Shiflett and husband, Steven, of Staunton; and Joe Huffman and partner Kari, of Waynesboro; two brothers, Roy “JR” Gordon and wife, Shirley, of Mineral; and William Gordon and wife, Cindy of Richmond; two sisters, Jane Talley and husband, Junior, of Mineral and Nancy and husband, Wilbur, of Mineral; a very special friend/sister, Susan Huffman and partner, Jim Squires; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two brother-in-laws and five sister-in-laws; two special dogs, Princess and Finn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Danny "Buckwheat" Gordon.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Monday January 25, 2021 at Henry Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday January 26, 2021 at the Henry Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Oak Lawn.

All COVID-19 protocols will be followed.
