Brenda O. Painter

FISHERSVILLE - Brenda (Owensby) Painter, 76, widow of Wayne Lee Painter, passed away on May 23, 2022 at Augusta Health. Prior to her bout with illnesses, she enjoyed her family time with her children and grandchildren. Her best years were family events at home with her grandkids running through the house. The older grandkids enjoyed making visits to Walmart where she would be working. There were quite a few pranks pulled on Brenda in the candy aisle. Mrs. Painter was born on March 20, 1946 to the late Cecil and Effie (McDorman) Owensby. She is survived by her brother Bill Owensby, son, Mark Crummett and wife Angie; her daughter, Cheryl Hall and husband Tim and stepson, Wayne Painter Jr; grandchildren, Amber Lantz and husband Ryan, Justin Hall and wife Katie, Cory Hall and wife Cassie, Trevor Hall and wife Jessica, Autumn Crawford, Angel Crummett and husband Pat, Arin Crummett, and Alexa Belgard and husband Alex; and great grandchildren, Addalyn Crawford, Royce Lantz, Wyatt and Josie Hall, Cohen Hall and Eden Hamonett. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister Carrolyn Wooten. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens in Lexington by Reverend John Craft. Arrangements are being handled by Henry Funeral Home.
