CALVIN E. ALBRECHT, SR. MANASSAS, VA Calvin Elmer Albrecht, Sr., 91, widower of Leta (McNutt) Albrecht, of 10550 Lucasville Road, Manassas, died Monday, September 3, 2012, at Manassas Health and Rehab Center. He was born December 20, 1920, in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Elmer A. and Ida Virginia (Biggs) Albrecht. Prior to retirement, Mr. Albrecht was a self-employed master carpenter. He was a member of Staunton First Church of God. Calvin loved family gatherings, his music, and his church friends. Family members include; three daughters, Lois Byrne, Martha McGrail, and Linda Whitmoyer, and a son, Calvin E. Albrecht, Jr., all of Northern Virginia; a brother, Rev. Dr., James A. Albrecht of Anderson, Indiana; two sisters, Lona E. "Betty" Webb of Butler, PA and Carol L. Sekara of Roseville, CA; thirteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012, in First Church of God by the Pastor Donald D. Simmons. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Kevin McGrail, Eddie Byrne, Toby McGrail, Corey McGrail, Frank McGrail, and Calvin E. Albrecht, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jessica Albrecht. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home.
