CHARLES W. MCCARTY STAUNTON, VA Charles William "Dick" McCarty, 82, of 558 Pleasant Grove Road, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Augusta Health, Fishersville. He was born May 14, 1931, in Maryland. Mr. McCarty was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Michael and Kim McCarty of Staunton; a daughter, Janet McCarty Wood of Staunton; and five grandchildren, Thomas Kim McCarty, Charles William McCarty, Michael Lee McCarty, David Harold McDaniel, Jr., and Kenneth Anthony McDaniel. There will be no services. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
