Charles Adolph Null, Sr.

CHARLES A. NULL, SR. STAUNTON, VA Charles Adolph Null, Sr., 90, of Staunton, died Friday, September 6, 2013, at Emeritus at Staunton. He was born August 25, 1923, in Staunton, a son of the late Charles Ellis and Ruth (Critzer) Null. Mr. Null attended Robert E. Lee High School, Augusta Military Academy, and The College of William and Mary. Mr. Null served in the United States Air Force. Prior to retirement, he was general manager and controller at Obaugh Ford in Staunton. He was the former President of Valley National Bank in Harrisonburg and First Virginia Bank in Staunton. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Adolph Null, Jr. and Laura Null of Sterling; two grandchildren, Meaghan Ann Olsen and Christopher Michael Null; and one great grandchild, Kathryn Elizabeth Null. He was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Jane (Null) Williamson. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013, in Thornrose Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Richard S. Dietrich. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Robert E. Lee High School athletic department, 1200 N. Coalter St, Staunton, VA 24401. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
