Charlotte Louise Simmons

CHARLOTTE S. SIMMONS STAUNTON, VA Charlotte Louise (Siron) Simmons, 75, widow of Roy Cecil Simmons, Sr., of 1196 Spaulding Street, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, in Avante at Waynesboro. She was born July 5, 1936, in Highland County, a daughter of the late Homer and Della (Simmons) Siron. In addition to her husband of 52 years, who preceded her in death on September 30, 2006, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Siron. Family members include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roy C. and Shelby Simmons of Stuarts Draft and Gary Simmons of Mint Spring; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Roger Crickenberger of Staunton; two brothers, Carroll Siron and James Siron; three sisters, Doris Armstrong, Thelma Pultz, and Gail Bowers; four grandchildren, Ashley Tinsley, Nathan Simmons, Andrew Crickenberger, and Sarah Mendizabal; and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, in the Staunton Seventh Day Adventist Church by Chaplain Mark Mendizabal. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Roger Crickenberger, Darren Pultz, Mark Siron, Scott Siron, Brad Armstrong, Olen Siron, Andrew Crickenberger, and Nathan Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Pultz, Bud Armstrong, Marty Bowers, and Michael Bowers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
