Claude William Campbell, Jr.

CLAUDE W. CAMPBELL, JR. VINTON, VA Claude William "Corky" Campbell, Jr., 71, of 1710 Saunja Circle, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born March 31, 1942, in Augusta County, a son of the late Claude William and Doris (Moran) Campbell. Prior to retirement, Mr. Campbell was employed by Coca Cola Bottle Company followed by Mary Baldwin College. He attended Arbor Hill Church of the Brethren for most of his life. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Dori-Beth Campbell and Jamie Allen Hayslett of Vinton; the mother of his daughter, Sandra Pultz Stuples of Lexington; and an uncle and two aunts, Stuart and Julia Fitzgerald and Emma Carpenter, all of Staunton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Ray Campbell. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Arbor Hill Church of the Brethren by the Revs. Grant Simmons and Harold W. "Pete" Campbell. Burial will be private in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arbor Hill Church of the Brethren, c/o Mrs. Billie Rachol, 958 Middlebrook Road, Staunton, VA 24401. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
