Cleda Virginia Varner

Cleda Virginia (Varner) Varner, 80, widow of Boyd Leonard Varner, of Staunton, died Monday, December 24, 2018, in Shenandoah Nursing Home, Fishersville.             She was born September 3, 1938, in Augusta County a daughter of the late Roy and Edith Blanche (Eckard) Varner.             Family members include two brothers, Roy Varner, Jr. of Fishersville and George D. Varner of Afton; a sister, Catherine S. Hoffman of West Virginia; and a number of nieces and nephews.             A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Sarah Locke.  Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery.             Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 1512 Churchville Avenue, Staunton, VA 24401.             The Family expresses their heartfelt appreciation to the Staff of Ritenour Rest Home and Augusta Health for their care over the years of Cleda’s residency.  Special thanks is also extended to Shenandoah Nursing and Rehab for the love and compassion shown to Cleda in her last days.             Condolences may be sent to the family at www.henryfuneralhome.net .
