CORINNE B. LUNT STAUNTON, VA Corinne Berkebile Lunt died May 18, 2014, in Staunton, Va. She was born August 30, 1925, in Johnstown, Pa., to Foster Harrison and Edna Ferry Berkebile. Five days later she married Robert Flock Lunt, also a 47 Penn State graduate, and a loving husband of 45 years. They lived in New York for four years and then in Bay Village, Oh., for 14 years. The family moved to Staunton, Virginia, in 1965 and loved the community. In 1972 Bob and Corinne started Dominion Ecological Services, an environmental sales company and a pioneer in pollution control in Virginia. They worked as a team until Bob died in 1992. She was a loving mother and grandmother, bringing her family together every year in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and frequently for holidays and weekends at the family home in Staunton. Corinne was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, her daughter, Chris Lunt Weller in 2005, and a sister, Jane Slep in 2010. Survivors include two sisters, Louise Tiedemann of Alexandria, Va., and Nancy St. Clair of Columbus, Oh., son Peter and his wife, Pilar; daughter Kathy Peaseley and her husband, Carter; daughter, Lisa Lunt; and eight grandchildren: Jennifer Weller Kim and husband, Sei, Kate Weller, Alex Weller, Rachael Lunt and husband Dan Cox, Robbie Lunt, Stephanie Lunt, Carey Peaseley, Bo Peaseley; great-grandson Bennett Kim, and numerous nieces and nephews. Corinne was an Elder in Covenant Presbyterian Church and served many years in Girl Scouts, the United Way, and the Staunton Visitors and Welcome Center. She was an avid bridge player and, as an active member of a local Audubon club, spent hours with her birding friends identifying and counting birds in and around Augusta County. There will be a memorial service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2001 North Coalter Street, Staunton, on May 24 at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church or the American Red Cross at 1106 Rose Hill Drive, Charlottesville, Va. 22903.
