CURTIS LEE “BUCK” RILEY STAUNTON, VA… Buck Riley of 32 Riley Lane died Saturday, March 11, 2017, in Augusta Health, Fishersville. Buck was married to his high school sweetheart, Gloria Sorrells Riley. This was truly a once in a lifetime love. He was born March 9, 1957 to the late Albert and Margaret Odessa Riley. Buck was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of McKinley United Methodist Church. He was employed by XPO Logistics in Roanoke as a truck driver. Other family members include his daughters, Monika “Blur” Riley, Karrie Riley and fiancé, Casey Williams, and Stephanie Payseur and husband, Stephen; one son, Dustin Riley and fiancée, Deana Smith; two sisters, Beverly Fitzgerald and husband, Keith, and Gloria (Jeannie) Hearn and husband, Larry; one brother, Gary Riley and wife, Debbie; and seven grandchildren, Eli, Nina, and Evan Williams, Trey and Stephen (Michael) Payseur, and Devyn and Dylan Riley. Hunting and fishing with his life-long friend, Bennie Buchanan, were always looked forward to along with Riverheads High School sporting events, especially cheering on his daughter, Monika, who he affectionately called “Blur” because she ran track. Buck will be remembered mostly for his kind heart and loving ways, and will be forever missed by his family. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Edna Sorrells. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Bennie Buchanan, James Taylor, Wendell Gardner, Leonard Riley, Stephen Payseur and Tony Sorrells. Honorary pallbearer will be Larry Hearn. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the funeral home.
