Carole B. Hylton

Carole Bolt Hylton, 81, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 28, 2023 Shenandoah Nursing and Rehab in Fishersville.
She was born in Richmond, Virginia in 1941 to Louis and Reah Whitehead.
She is survived by her second husband, Ron Hylton of Waynesboro, Virginia; her sons, Brian Bolt and his wife, Pam, and Steven Bolt and his wife, Stephanie; two grandchildren, Ethan and Peyton Bolt; and her brother, Dr. Barry Whitehead.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Bolt, who passed away in 2009.
Carole graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond, VA in 1960 and from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA in 1964.
Carole and her husband Paul lived in Fredericksburg where they attended New Life in Christ Church. She worked at Fredericksburg Christian School for 26 years as a teacher and then as an elementary school principal. Transferring her membership in 2007 to Wayne Hills Baptist Church when moving to Waynesboro, VA, she met her second husband in Sunday School Class.
Carole loved her family with all her heart and felt very blessed to have them in her life.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at Wayne Hills Baptist Church on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 1:00 PM with the Reverend Dr. Jamie McClanahan presiding.
Interment will be at Culpeper National Cemetery at a later date.
