CASSIE A. ROBERSON STAUNTON, VA Cassie Rene (Ayscue) Roberson, 89, widow of Charles "Bo" Carlton Roberson, of Staunton, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Brookdale. She was born March 10, 1926, in Henderson, NC, a daughter of the late John Henry and Kate (Parrish) Ayscue. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Roberson was employed by Mary Baldwin College. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Debbie Roberson, of Charlotte, NC, and Gary and Cindy Roberson of Staunton; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Zola Mae Ayscue of Henderson, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Roberson; four brothers; and two sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Steve Traylor. Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2015 in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
