Charles Martin Jones

Charles Martin Jones, 61, a resident of 1642 Buick Street, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

He was born October 6, 1959, Rockbridge County, the son of Sarah (Johnson) Jones and the late Fred L. Jones, Sr.

Charles graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, was an Army veteran, and was head chef for the Staunton Country Club and helped with Eric Stamer Catering.

“He was an avid Duke Blue Devil fan.”

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Fred L. Jones, Jr., Joseph Johnson, and Timmy Jones.

He leaves to mourn one daughter, Charmayne Jones; five sons, Chris Jones, CJ Jones, Conrad Jones, Garrett Seesholtz, and Cody Jones; four sisters and two brothers, Hattie Carpenter, Deborah Strother and husband, Donald, Joyce Jones, Linda Williams, John Keller, Teddy Jones and wife, Andrea; his fiancé`, Diane Crawford; would have been, step-son, Akadeon Napier; special friend, Fred Jordan; special pet, Simba; and numerous grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Elaine Rose of Promise Land Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Cruz and staff and Becky Elphee of Home Health.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Center, Bridge Fund, 78 Medical Center Drive, Fishersville, VA 22939.
