Charles Lewis Joyce, 90, widow of Mary Belle (Cason) Joyce, passed away on May 25, 2022 at Bickford of Suffolk Assisted Living. Mr. Joyce was born on May 31, 1931 to the late Floyd Vernon and Myrtle Luffsey Joyce. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Wisconsin and was employed as a master electrician. He was a Life Member and former Governor of the Blue Ridge, Virginia Moose Fraternity. He is survived by his eight children, Christine Joyce Ake, Charles Lewis Joyce, Jr., Mary Kay Shifflett, Linda Joyce Whittington, Patricia Joyce Herring, Michael Wayne Joyce, Donna Joyce Baker, and Robert William Joyce; three stepchildren, Gary Hoover, Donnie Hoover and Betty Rexrode; and his first wife and mother of his eight children, Roselyn Taylor Ware. A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Augusta Memorial Park.
