Charles William “Bill” Nuckols, Sr., 71, widower of Peggy Jean Nuckols, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Nuckols was born on June 1, 1951 in Augusta County to Violet (Roberts) Nuckols and the late Hugh Lee Nuckols.

He was the owner of Staunton Building Supply and was a realtor in his retirement.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Charles W. Nuckols, Jr.; two daughters, Charlotte Johnson and husband Gerald, and Jennifer Nuckols; two sisters, Sherry and Teresa Nuckols; five grandchildren, Josh, Kristen and Kaitlyn Nuckols and Jasmine and Amber Johnson; and three great-grandchildren, Macyn, Maddox and Santana; life partner, Carolyn Foyle; a sister-in-law, Becki Fielding and husband Frank; former daughters-in-law, Lisa and Lisa; and special friends Cortney and Malyk.

In addition to his wife and father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Nuckols.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm, Thursday, August 4, 2022 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 5, 2022 at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Rev. Tom Mozingo.
