DAISY C. CLARK STAUNTON, VA Daisy Ellen (Carter) Clark, 91, of Staunton, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Augusta Health. She was born February 11, 1923, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Alfred and Annie Viola Carter. She was a member of Lexington Pentecostal Holiness Church. Family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis and Bobbie Clark of Greenville and Leroy and Donna Riley Clark of Mint Spring; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Ann and Kenny Armstrong of Raphine, Alice Styles of North Carolina, Ruth Martin of Fairfield and Faye and Pete Fitzgerald of Stuarts Draft; two sisters, Lucy Clark and Ruby Emore, both of Lexington; 9 grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Evelyn Viola Clark; an infant daughter; and three sisters, Mabel Snyder, Virginia Fitzgerald, and Ethel Carter. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Keith May. Burial will follow in Old Providence ARP Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ryan Fitzgerald, RJ Fitzgerald, Robbie Clark, David Lee Armstrong, BJ Howdyshell, Tyler Morris, Andrew Morris, Aaron Howdyshell, and JR Ware. Honorary pallbearers will be Hanna Clark, Crissy Morris, Kim Martin, Wendy Martin, Missy Ware, Travis Abshire, Larry Fitzgerald, Boyd Howdyshell, Ronnie Martin, Rusty Hamilton, Eddie Wallace, Pete Fitzgerald, Bowman Ware, and family and friends attending the service. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hanna Clark, Donna Clark, Hospice of the Shenandoah, Dr. Dennis Hatter, and her caregivers, Tamara Jarvis and Paula Price.
