David Gibson Dabney

DAVID G. DABNEY   STAUNTON, VA… David Gibson Dabney, 53, of Staunton, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017. He was born October 6, 1963 in Staunton, a son of the late Adrian “Abey” Earl and Doris (Baber) Dabney. Mr. Dabney was a self-employed private contractor. He attended Memorial Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church. Family members include a son, Dalton Gray Dabney of Staunton; a daughter, Erika Lee Dabney of Staunton; a brother, Stuart Baber Dabney of Pamplico, SC; a half-brother, Adrian Eugene “Buck” Dabney of Fredericksburg; two nephews, Thomas Stuart Dabney of Tappahannock and Miles Dylan Dabney; and a niece, Sarah Elizabeth Dabney.  A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Calvary Baptist Church by Rev. Temple Myers and Pastor Robert Hampshire. The family will receive friends following the service in the church. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
