WAYNESBORO, VA… David Templeton Hailey, 26, of Waynesboro, died Saturday night, June 11, 2016 at his residence. He was born July 26, 1989 in Charlottesville, a son of David Wayne Hailey and Hannah Marie (Oxendine) Licwinko. He was employed by Wal-Mart. David was a member of the YMCA and also volunteered for the American Cancer Society. He loved wrestling, the Indianapolis Colts, and The Undertaker was his favorite wrestler. In addition to his parents, family members include his twin brother, Derek Wayne Hailey of Staunton; brother, Charles Anthony McCray of Harrisonburg; fiancée, Amy Jenkins; aunts, Linda “Lou” Robare and Sandy Oxendine; grandmother, Gladys M. Hailey; and his two cats, Lucky and Pepper. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frances and Charles Oxendine and Lawrence Hailey. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Frank Rankin, Alonzo Bayard, Caldwell Bady, Richard Bethel, Brian Floyd, and Andrew Wiley. Honorary pallbearers will be co-workers from Wal-Mart, family and friends The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the funeral home.
