David Edward Perunko

DAVID PERUNKO CHURCHVILLE, VA David Perunko, 71, husband of Virginia Perunko, of Churchville, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at his residence. He was born March 25, 1941, in Bronx, NY, a son of the late Robert and Monica (Schley) Perunko. Mr. Perunko was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the telephone company with 38 years of service and was also a flight instructor for 47 years. In addition to his wife, family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel Perunko and Beth Dekker of Grass Valley, CA and Robert and Blanca of Gurnee, IL; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Perunko and her fiancé, Gary Marks of Denver, CO; a brother, Michael Perunko of Stem, NC; and a sister, Mary Ann Conahan of Grand Isle, ME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12 noon Monday, July 16, 2012, in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church by Father Joseph Wamala. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
