David Weldon Sensabaugh

STAUNTON, VA David Weldon Sensabaugh, Jr., 70, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 1, 2013. He was born in Augusta County on July 15, 1942, a son of the late David W. Sensabaugh, Sr. and Marydell Sensabaugh of McKinley. David was an active member of his community and church, Redeemer Lutheran, and was always there to help any friends or neighbors in need. He will be sorely missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda (Bosserman) Sensabaugh. He is survived by his son, Marvin and wife Mary Beth Sensabaugh of Charlotte, North Carolina; his daughter, Renee and husband Lee Ross of Staunton; his five grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Marshall Sensabaugh and Evan and Noah Ross; his brother Gene and wife Lucy Sensabaugh of McKinley and numerous other relatives. He is also survived by his wife, Patricia (Swortzel Hughes) Sensabaugh; her children, Melodye and husband Patrick Paruszkiewicz of Richmond, Kara Hughes and Christopher Hughes of Staunton; and her grandchildren, Mira and Elle Paruszkiewicz. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in McKinley. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Thornrose Cemetery by Pastors JoAnn Bunn and Marilyn Heishman. Active pallbearers will be: Daniel Barr, Gary Bunn, Kenneth LaPorte, John McCracken, Fred Nowak, Glenn Sensabaugh, Weldon Sensabaugh, Philip Spalding, Roger Stover, and Mac Swortzel. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and family. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton. Memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
