Dennis Brandt Zwart, Sr.

DENNIS B. ZWART, SR.   VERONA, VA… Dennis “Denny” Brandt Zwart, Sr., 81, husband of Mary (Johnson) Zwart, of Verona, died Friday, October 27, 2017 at his residence. He was born December 8, 1935 in Middletown, New York, a son of the late Wybrant Raymond and Beatrice Edna (Cook) Zwart. Mr. Zwart was the CEO of Z & Z Machine, Inc. Denny was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church. He was a man of many talents, and built his own boat, airplane, and home. He loved motorcycling, flying, boating, fishing, and the outdoors. He was a loving husband and a wonderful father who will be greatly missed and never forgotten. In addition to his wife, family members include three sons, Dennis Brandt Zwart, Jr., Edwin Dale Zwart, and Chris Kevin Zwart; two daughters, Sharon Denise Zwart Benson and Cheryl Gilmer Moats; two sisters, Kathleen Walker and Jennifer Gonce; seven grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, Deric, Aimee, Emily, Allison, and Bradley; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kaleb Zwart. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Harold W. “Pete” Campbell.
