Donald Monroe Anderson, Jr

FISHERSVILLE, VA Donald Monroe Anderson, Sr., 61, husband of Deborah (Taliaferro) Anderson, of Cedar Green Road, died Friday, February 13, 2015 in Augusta Health. He was born on July 10, 1953 in Staunton, a son of the late James Monroe and Perquida Mae (Wilson) Anderson. Mr. Anderson worked for many years at Luck Stone as an equipment operator. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Donald M. Anderson, Jr. and his partner, Jessika Bell, of WV; a daughter, Benita "Johnnette" Anderson, of Fishersville; a stepdaughter whom he raised, Kimberly Venable, of Virginia Beach; four granddaughters and two grandsons; one great grandson; a special aunt, Catherine Wilson and her sons, of Staunton; and a special friend, Frank Crawford. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Community United Methodist Church by Rev. Scott Beach. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Henry Funeral Home.
